Regarding getting mold at the end of the waterline and on the dispenser, you can do your best to clean the area with food-grade distilled white vinegar (which gets rid of mold but is still food safe), but if the mold is extensive, you have to replace the parts affected by it. The best way to avoid mold is to know how to prevent it, and preventing it means always putting ice in your cup first BEFORE liquid.
